The critical growth driver for ezCater is our marketplace—a best-in-class catering ordering experience from discovery to checkout. As the Staff Engineer of the marketplace frontend experience, you'll establish architectural and coding standards for ezCater's customer-facing touchpoints and frontend platforms to enable teams to build innovative customer solutions. As a technical leader, you'll leverage deep experience building scalable software solutions to meet ezCater's technology and business goals. Beyond technical leadership, you'll help to grow our engineering organization through mentorship and coaching, establishing and implementing technical standards, and contributing to an inclusive, transparent culture. Responsibilities include defining and evangelizing architectural standards and best practices for the marketplace frontend experience to enable velocity, scalability, and consistency; working with internal stakeholders to evolve frontend systems to meet business needs and handle increasing scale; decomposing complex problems, designing technical solutions, and navigating critical decisions; elevating software quality, frontend architecture, and expectations; providing guidance and mentorship to teammates while fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. Requirements include 7+ years of professional development experience with strong expertise in React, 4+ years of professional React experience, proven track record of evangelizing and standardizing frontend design patterns, passion for exceptional user experience, high standards for software quality, experience mentoring engineers and working with business stakeholders, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach. Preferred qualifications include experience with digital storefronts, TypeScript, GraphQL, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and native technologies. The role offers a national cash compensation range of $176,000 - $225,000, with final offers based on multiple factors.
