Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help lead a highly effective, cross-disciplined team that delivers world-class customer experiences across various applications and services. The Senior Software Engineer should be well-versed in modern software engineering practices, capable of balancing trade-offs between scalability, durability, and maintenance. They should also be comfortable with platform operational duties and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities & Objectives
Translate business objectives into technical requirements and implementation details.
Navigate complex technical systems and understand dependencies.
Contribute to engineering standards and process improvements.
Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and other stakeholders.
Design, implement, and operate scalable, durable, and performant software applications.
Support and troubleshoot existing systems, including incident response.
Assist with platform operations, deployments, and code reviews.
Mentor and coach engineering team members.
Research new technologies and trends to improve practices and services.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
5+ years of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding in Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Swift, Python, PHP, Go, or Ruby.
Knowledge of software development methodologies and supporting tools.
Familiarity with scripting and programming languages such as Typescript/Javascript, PHP, and Python.
Proven track record as a self-starter with outstanding contributions.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Strong technical design and engineering skills.
Highly valued qualifications include familiarity with AWS services (RDS/Aurora, S3, OpenSearch, ElastiCache, ALBs, Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB), experience leading engineering teams, and experience in FinTech/payments.
