$120,0000-$135,000 per year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, and education. Responsibilities What you'll do as a Senior Associate? Working in a tight knit small group of highly productive team members in a fast paced in person work environment, the new Associate will have the opportunity to contribute on originations, underwriting, loan management, and asset management. For the originations, the new Associate will evaluate inbound bridge loan opportunities including reviewing business plans, underwriting property level valuations, researching sales and rent comparables, understanding demand drivers, and coordinating diligence. Using MS Excel, generate financial pro forma projections including cash flow models and discounted cash flow analysis for all major property types (experience with ground up development of multifamily / single family housing and value-add hotels preferred) Work with underwriting team to better incorporate underwriting work flows into the 'Hub' to improve loan management processes For asset management, the new Associate will spearhead and develop business plans for any foreclosed real estate properties including development sites or existing value-add assets Research, analyze, and develop strategies for originations outreach including identifying future lending opportunities such as tranches of maturing debt in the horizon as well as identifying potential new borrowers Monitor and track commercial real estate capital market activities in order to better inform the originations team on the pulse of the marketplace Assist in promoting the platform to the marketplace including digital, social and print media initiatives Undertake ad hoc initiatives and projects on behalf the President of the firm Candidates will be expected to work 5 days a week in an office environment putting in 45+ hours per week Qualifications What we look for in our Senior Associate? Proactive and positive can-do attitude with a natural drive towards curiosity and learning Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of California's metro and coastal submarkets 2-5 years experience in similar analyst / senior analyst roles ideally in real estate investment, CRE banking, debt funds, or mortgage brokering environment Proficiency in Microsoft products including Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Teams Experience with underwriting or direct investing in multifamily development, single family development, hotels, industrial, office, and / or retail product types Experience with entitlement, ground-up development, value-add investment across various property types Strong written and verbal communication skills The ability to work in a fast-paced work environment to meet tight timelines and handle a multitudes of responsibilities What do we offer?
