In the role of Senior Medical Equipment Planner, you'll be responsible for:
Consulting, programming, planning, and coordinating the medical equipment needs of healthcare projects.
Identifying possible solutions affecting all areas of medical treatment and processes.
Independently collecting data that impact all areas of the design process, with the owner's agreement.
Discussing advantages and disadvantages of specific types of medical equipment, cabinetry, and casework, and helping clients select equipment for their healthcare environments.
Preparing design development and contract documents and specifications for technical projects, ensuring compatibility with drawings and technical conditions.
Writing technical specifications in compliance with standards, maintaining master specifications, and ensuring regulations are met.
Recommending specifications requirements and overseeing the production of documents and specifications.
Directing activities of other equipment planning professionals and mentoring staff as needed.
Traveling approximately 50% of the time.
Performing other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree. Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED is desirable but not required. Experience planning DOD/USACE/VA projects is strongly considered. Preference for local candidates. Required Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of medical equipment planning experience, with some project management experience preferred. Clinical background involving Nursing, Purchasing, Biomedical Engineering, or other clinical specialties is highly valued. Strong understanding of medical equipment and hospital environments. Ability to interact professionally with healthcare clients and design team members. Knowledge of current medical equipment technology. Excellent customer service skills to develop and maintain relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access). Active participation in our employee-owned culture is essential.
