About the role:
Boston Scientific seeks a motivated Systems Engineer with medical electrical systems experience to join our R&D Endoscopy division. You will support the design of an integrated platform, collaborating with mechanical, electronics, optical, and software engineers. We are looking for a systems thinker with an electronics background to help integrate various sub-systems into the overall system.
This role requires a broad view of the product and its interactions within its environment, understanding how changes in one sub-system impact the entire system.
Work Mode:
This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least three days per week in our Marlborough, MA office.
Your responsibilities will include:
Participate in project teams as an individual contributor.
Design and develop high-level system architecture.
Develop system and subsystem requirements.
Plan and schedule activities independently to meet deadlines.
Design and coordinate electromechanical/electrical tests.
Troubleshoot system interactions, materials, or processes.
Analyze test results and perform basic statistical data analysis.
Prepare reports and documentation for the technical community.
Maintain engineering documentation.
Collaborate with vendors, quality, regulatory, clinical, and marketing teams.
Lead project or sub-project activities as needed.
Required qualifications:
BS/MS in Biomedical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, with a strong preference for Electrical Engineering.
6+ years of experience with medical devices.
Experience troubleshooting medical electrical systems.
Proven leadership, independence, and project management skills.
Experience in systems architecture, design, and development.
Experience with testing, requirements, verification, and validation.
Hands-on problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications:
Familiarity with systems verification/validation.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Salary Range:
$86,600 - $164,500
The actual compensation will vary based on location, experience, education, and organizational needs. Benefits details are available at
