Description
Captivation Software is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. You will work closely with other talented engineers to create software solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities
- Develop Java-based software capabilities with a strong understanding of OOP principles.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing software systems.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
- Participate in code reviews and testing to ensure software quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, with expertise in Modern Java Frameworks (e.g., Spring, Guava) and a relevant Bachelor's degree; or 3 years with a Master's degree; or 9 years relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience designing enterprise APIs and RESTful web services.
- Experience with Microservices architecture and OOP paradigms.
- Proficiency with Linux OS and configuration management tools (Git, Nexus, Maven).
- Must possess a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (Security+). U.S. citizenship is required; a current Secret or TS/SCI clearance is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience with NiFi, Kafka, AWS Infrastructure, K8s, distributed NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and scripting.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and Big Data platforms.
- Familiarity with AGILE methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise.
Benefits
- Salary: $130,000 - $270,000, depending on experience.
- Up to 20% 401k contribution (Vested from Day 1, no matching required).
