$125,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr Senior DevOps Engineer - Government-Focused AI Innovation Location:
Hybrid – 2–3 days/week in Frisco, TX | Eagan, MN | Toronto, ON Compensation:
$125,000+ USD / $115–135K CAD Base + 10% Bonus Work Authorization:

Their innovation arm operates like a startup within the organization, driving forward transformative AI tools for highly regulated sectors - including government and public services. They’re currently scaling a brand-new, high-impact product: a secure, AI-powered agentic platform tailored for the legal and public sector - focused on automating workflows like tax preparation, document summarization, and compliance management. This is a greenfield opportunity with strong leadership, real innovation, and long-term impact. About the Role As a
Senior DevOps Engineer , you'll play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining a highly secure and scalable infrastructure to support cutting-edge AI tools tailored for government clients. This is a hands-on position requiring both engineering depth and a product-focused mindset. You’ll collaborate closely with software engineering teams, security leaders, and DevOps peers to create infrastructure as a product - not just a platform. What You’ll Do: Architect Scalable Cloud Solutions:
Build infrastructure using AWS (GovCloud preferred), IaC (CloudFormation), containers (EKS, Docker), and serverless (Lambda). CI/CD Ownership:
Design and manage secure deployment pipelines in regulated cloud environments, supporting canary/blue-green deployments, rollback automation, etc. Python Automation:
Write production-grade Python code for infrastructure tooling and automation — static typing and code quality are key. Security & Compliance:
Implement and manage secure environments aligned with government frameworks (FedRAMP, FIPS). Mentorship & DevOps Culture:
Guide less experienced engineers, champion DevOps principles, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Incident Management:
Lead incident response efforts and RCA processes, continuously improving platform reliability. Dev & Ops Mindset:
Drive infrastructure strategy as part of product development – not just platform maintenance. Your Background: 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles, ideally in regulated or public sector environments Deep experience with AWS (GovCloud preferred), EKS, EC2, CloudFormation, and Lambda Skilled in Python scripting for infrastructure automation (Go experience also valued) Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline Familiarity with compliance/security frameworks (FedRAMP, FIPS, IAM, encryption, secrets management) Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Terraform Advanced monitoring and observability using Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, Kibana Proven ability to work independently in distributed teams, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Why Apply?
