The COMODO (COmmon MicrOcontroller DevelOpers) is a new team within the Embedded SW Group in Lockheed Martin Space. COMODO will be focused on delivering reliable and rugged microcontroller software development and testing support across multiple programs. COMODO is looking for a Software Engineer who can contribute to our missions, but also shape the future of our team and revolutionize our approach to microcontrollers and more.
The qualified candidate's first assignment on will be for Mission Demo 4 (MD4). MD4 is an on-orbit demonstration mission of RF Comms capability using a low SWaP Software Defined Radio (SDR). Mission demonstrations will include space-enabled beyond light of sight (BLOS) communications. The software engineer will be part of a small team who will develop, integrate, and test code for a softcore microprocessor within an RT Polarfire FPGA.
This position is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow their embedded software engineering skills and participate in demonstrations that shape the future use of these payloads. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to learn, is self-motivated, and a team player while applying strong technical aptitude to an incredible team developing creative and novel technical solutions that have a lasting impact on our world.
