Leidos The Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) division is seeking an experienced and strategic Facilities Engineering Manager to oversee the planning, operation, and maintenance of building systems and infrastructure across our organization. This leadership role is responsible for managing engineering staff and contractors, optimizing facility performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting long-term capital improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in engineering management, technical expertise in building systems, and a proven track record of delivering operational excellence and strategic facility planning. Primary Responsibilities include leading and managing a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors responsible for facility operations, maintenance, and engineering projects; overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and structural systems; developing and administering preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize system reliability and ensure regulatory compliance; planning and managing capital improvement projects, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations from concept through execution; ensuring all building systems and infrastructure meet applicable safety, environmental, energy, and building codes and standards; collaborating with EHS, Facility Operations, and other stakeholders to align engineering strategies with sustainability, energy efficiency, and business continuity goals; preparing and managing budgets, cost estimates, and resource allocation for facility engineering operations and projects; supporting emergency response and continuity planning, including utility systems and mission-critical infrastructure; and developing and implementing performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems to track facility performance and project outcomes. Basic Qualifications include TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance, Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience, minimum 8+ years relevant experience (or 6+ with Master’s), 4+ years leading teams, experience applying engineering principles to business operations, budget management, project management skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications include Master’s degree, experience in budgeting, process improvements, project proposals, quality control, risk management, systems engineering, workforce planning, communication across business units, familiarity with emerging technologies, and leadership in innovation.
