Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Designs and develops learning solutions utilizing modern learning methods to ensure learning initiatives are constructed to produce the desired changes in behavior, attitude, knowledge, and skills needed to make a real business impact. Gains a deep understanding of business goals, industry landscape, existing training, and target audiences. Analyze target audience, job tasks, learner environment, and existing content to identify appropriate instructional strategies. Defines Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sets benchmarks to measure the correlation of training solutions to performance improvement. Collaborates with subject experts to develop course content. Develops and designs courses and curriculum, including activities, assignments, and assessments. Utilizes sound instructional design methodologies to create complex (e.g., guided discovery, case method, problem-based, game-based, competency-based approaches), high-quality and innovative (formal, informal, blended) instructional materials and learning solutions. Creates learning experiences and environments – manages online learning communities. Designs, implements, and drives continuous improvement of end-to-end learning processes. Develops instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools. Develops and maintains training materials, documentation, manuals, job-aids, quick-reference guides, and other training aids Edits and develops online learning materials through modules and storyboards. Writes scripts for video and audio content. Develops modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course Develops performance measures: criterion-referenced achievement tests, questionnaires, interviews, and simulation scenarios. Actively researches evolving trends in the field of learning and recommends innovative training tools and techniques to deliver cutting-edge design solutions. Works with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required in a related field.
Experience
5+ years of demonstrated experience in instructional design and eLearning course development Extensive experience with Articulate Storyline Experience with AI/VR learning development technology preferred Financial industry experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Exceptional written, verbal, critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models, including assessment Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and SharePoint Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tight deadlines with attention to detail Energetic self-starter who is flexible, conscientious, proactive, and assumes responsibility for achieving results through influencing Business Partners and their team
Physical Demands And Work Environment
While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to stand, walk, and sit. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
