$61 - $68/ph Job Summary: A leading renewable energy company is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Subject Matter Expert (TLSME) to support engineering teams with high-level technical input on transmission line projects. This role requires advanced engineering knowledge, excellent communication, and a proactive, collaborative mindset. Key Responsibilities: Provide advanced technical support for transmission line projects at 230kV and above. Respond to engineering Requests for Information (RFIs) with accurate, timely guidance. Develop, interpret, and implement standards for transmission line engineering. Lead and mentor project engineers in applying technical requirements. Identify and promote opportunities for process and performance improvement. Essential Duties and Job Functions: Act as a technical expert within a multi-disciplinary team. Support the design and construction phases of transmission line projects. Make independent technical decisions with minimal supervision. Guide less experienced engineers and act as a knowledge resource. Ensure technical quality, budget, and schedule alignment on assigned projects. Engage cross-functional team members to ensure accurate, comprehensive solutions. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering required. Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting transmission line projects (230kV or above). Strong foundation in at least one transmission line engineering discipline. Experience in leadership roles or as a technical guide within project teams. Knowledge & Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to make independent technical judgments. Assertive, team-oriented approach with leadership qualities. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Comfortable working outside of areas of expertise when necessary. Prior experience in a remote work setting is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) certification. Field experience in transmission line projects. Seniority level
