Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Design Engineer. This position is located in
Huntsville, AL or Roy, UT
and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You’ll Get To Do Be a subject matter expert in Common Product Lifecycle Management (Teamcenter) to resolve user issues. Triage and prioritize impact of user issues. Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve user issues when possible. Elevate user issues when needed. Follow user support workflow. Learn program and division Principles & Operating Practices to identify correct PLM usage. Work closely with program user community. Act as a liaison across multiple engineering disciplines and programs. Identify process gaps and repeat user issues for training opportunities. Perform tool testing and assist with creating and maintaining product documentation. Represent the Strategic Deterrent Systems and Sentinel organizations professionally with internal and external contacts. This position follows a 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees to take every other Friday off. Job Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8 years of experience, or 6 years with a Master's, or 4 years with a PhD. US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance within the last 6 years. Ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval. Experience with CAD modeling (Siemens NX or similar). Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Experience working with distributed teams. Preferred: Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow), Siemens Capital & Xpedition, CAE tools, configuration management, systems engineering principles, and defense system design. Proficiency with 3D/2D CAD, PDM/CPLM, GD&T, and working with engineering stakeholders. Leadership experience and hands-on maintenance or fabrication skills. Salary Range:
