Job DescriptionJob Description
The Design Systems Engineer is responsible for coordinating the technical aspects of base engine design to achieve customer requirements, functional objectives, and quality targets.
Scope of work includes base engine design and testing.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related degree field.
Minimum five years of propulsion system related engineering and/or calibration experience.
Understanding of phased gated launch processes for product development.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to and prepare presentations for executive leadership.
Strong cross functional team management skills along with superior written and oral skills.
Candidate must be highly motivated, self-directed, and have the ability to manage multiple complex assignments simultaneously.
Additional Must Haves:
Gasoline Engine and Engine Components Knowledge/Familiarity , Experience/Ability to work in cross-functional environment, Experience/Ability to Handle Multiple Priorities at the same time
Location:
Auburn Hills, MI –
Min 80% onsite
Driving required- need valid driver's license and clean driving record
Travel:
Travel to Saltillo, Mexico approximately 2-4 times a year for ~1 week each time
