Senior-Level Site Civil Engineer

POWER Engineers . POWER Engineers, a member of WSP, is seeking a senior-level Site Civil Engineer to join our team supporting electrical utility and renewable energy projects. Our department focuses on high-performing projects with a forward-looking approach, aiming to deliver excellent results and positive experiences for clients and communities. This position is based in Rocky Mount, Virginia, with options for remote work. Periodic travel to POWER offices may be required. Job Summary and Responsibilities
You will support grading, drainage/stormwater management design for electrical utility sites, renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage), and access road design, permitting, and construction support. Prepare and review engineering deliverables for civil/site projects, including: AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling Stormwater management calculations and design Floodplain modeling and analysis Site layout, grading, drainage designs, and drawings Bill of materials and construction specifications Perform detailed engineering reviews Provide mentorship to team members Coordinate with Project Engineers/Managers to meet scope, budget, and quality expectations Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university Professional Engineer License 8+ years of civil site design experience, including utilities, stormwater management, grading, roadway, and utility design Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation Strong communication skills in English Experience with Microsoft Office suite Legal authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship Preferred Education and Experience
Experience with stormwater management software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM) Electric utility substation design experience Leadership and managerial skills At POWER Engineers, you can build a rewarding career.
