Lead Data Engineer - Data Modernization (Onsite - Dallas, TX)
We are looking for a
Lead Data Engineer
to drive the
migration of data, ETL pipelines, and legacy code
as part of a large-scale
Data Modernization program
in the
Mortgage Banking
domain. This is a
hands-on leadership role based onsite in Dallas, TX .
Key Responsibilities: •Lead the
design, development, and migration
of data pipelines from legacy platforms (e.g.,
SQL Server, Talend, DataStage ) to modern stacks (e.g.,
Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran ) •Collaborate with Architects and Modelers to align engineering efforts with target state architecture and semantic models •Refactor and optimize legacy ETL jobs into scalable, cloud-native data pipelines •Ensure
data quality, lineage, and governance
practices are embedded throughout the migration •Mentor junior engineers and coordinate efforts across global delivery teams
Required Qualifications: •8+ years of experience in
data engineering , with a strong focus on
data platform modernization •Proven experience migrating
data, ETL pipelines, and transformation logic
from legacy platforms to
modern cloud data platforms •Hands-on expertise with tools such as
Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran , and legacy stacks like
SQL Server, Talend, DataStage •Familiarity with
GCP
and experience working in regulated industries like
financial services or mortgage banking is a plus •Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills

onsite in Dallas, TX
