Responsibilities

Our client seeks multiple Principal DevOps Engineers to join their team. As a Principal DevOps Engineer and Subject Matter Expert, you will lead innovative projects to transform IT infrastructure and software delivery. Your expertise in automating build, testing, deployment, configuration, and resource management will set new standards for efficiency and reliability. You will oversee the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using advanced tools, develop complex data queries, improve system documentation, and analyze system performance. Your guidance will help establish a comprehensive monitoring ecosystem to ensure optimal system health. Note: This description serves as a foundational outline. Specific project details will be disclosed during the interview process. Automate software build, testing, and deployment using tools like Git, Gitlab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Cypress, etc. Automate resource configuration and management with tools such as Saltstack, Ansible, Puppet, etc. Provision infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc. Create simple data queries for databases or data repositories. Review and improve software and system documentation. Analyze system performance, data flow, and work processes; investigate issues. Configure logging and performance monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, etc. Requirements

15+ years of experience with a Bachelors degree in a technical field, or 20+ years of practical experience without a degree. Experience scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell, PERL, etc. Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Storage (NoSQL) such as Elasticsearch, HBase, Cloudbase/Accumulo, BigTable, etc. Experience with container orchestration and automation tools like Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc. Education/Certification

A Bachelors degree in a technical field is required; alternatively, 20+ years of relevant practical experience. Clearance Requirements

Active TS/SCI w/FS Poly clearance is required. Candidates must be eligible for access to classified information. The FS Poly must be held by NSA or within the past two years. Other Duties
