As an Intermediate Software Developer supporting the Department of Defenses CBRN Sensor visualization project, you will develop software solutions for national security, including data visualization on large displays, tablets, and mobile devices. Responsibilities Design and develop software for early warning of CBRN sensors, under guidance. Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and participate in solution design. Implement software components using modern programming languages and frameworks. Participate in code reviews, ensure code quality, and maintainability. Integrate data streams, analysis algorithms, and visualization tools. Develop flexible front-end user interfaces per customer needs. Build optimized mobile interfaces, native or web-based. Consider usability in austere environments and with protective gear. Create plugins for external mobile applications via APIs. Follow cybersecurity best practices, including encryption and access control. Support testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and deployment activities. Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Security certifications like CompTIA Security+ are preferred. Must be a US Citizen able to obtain a Secret security clearance. Proficiency in backend development (Java, C#, Go) and frontend (TypeScript, React). Experience with development frameworks, version control, and agile tools. Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of software design principles. Experience with automated testing (JUnit, NUnit) and UI development. Preferred: 3+ years in software development, mobile UI creation, stakeholder presentation skills, and knowledge of infrastructure as code, containerization, CI/CD, microservices, and cross-platform development.
