By streamlining processes, implementing consistent practices, and integrating AI-driven tools and solutions, we empower developers to efficiently build and run products and platforms. This strategy aims to enhance productivity, foster innovation, and ensure high-quality outcomes by providing developers with the advanced tools, resources, and support they need to succeed. SDLC ENGINEERING
Part of Goldman Sachs’ Core Engineering group's function is to provide best in class language support and tooling for our engineering community to facilitate the building, testing and deployment of their products. We strive for our tooling to improve product quality, developer productivity and increase opportunities for collaboration, while reducing toil and unrewarding work. Our aim is to innovate and drive technology solutions that will impact the bottom line for the firm. By joining us, you will be part of a diverse global technical team focusing on solving critical business problems.You will be working at the heart of the developer experience, ensuring the code that is written by thousands of GS engineers is versioned securely, reviewed expertly, compiled quickly, tested comprehensively, and distributed widely.
What You Will Be Working On
The Build and Test Acceleration team’s mission is to reduce latency and wasted time in the software build and test cycle. We work to shave seconds to hours off every single build, meaning that developers can get results from their changes much more quickly, reducing impediments to their creativity and productivity. Among other things you will be designing, building, and deploying AI-based tooling which helps us to deploy efficiency improvements across diverse codebases.
Skills And Experience We Are Looking For
4+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, or similar role General knowledge of multiple languages, and in-depth strong programming skills of at least one of: Java, GoLang, Erlang, Python, C, C++ Strong software engineering fundamentals Familiarity with continuous integration, deployment pipelines, monitoring and observability Ability to use and familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD systems Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, driving consensus, and influencing outcomes, strong problem solving and analytical skills Strong oral and written communication skills
preferred Qualifications
Experience building, fine tuning, and deploying LLM-based solutions is preferred BSc / MSc / PhD in relevant field (Computer Science, Math, Physics) Experience with DevOps, SRE, infrastructure as code, and similar is helpful General knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes,Terraform,AWS Experience with all stages in the lifecycle of developing and running software systems
