Job Description
Role: Engineering Manager – Growth
Location: San Francisco Bay Area (must reside in or relocate to the area)
Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $248,000 – $279,000 (base) + equity + benefits
Team: Growth – Experiences
Mission: Lead a full-stack engineering team to resolve key pain points that drive user activation, retention, and community growth .
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Marketing to define and execute the growth roadmap .
- Team Management
- Hire, mentor, and coach a team of full-stack engineers while instilling best practices and maintaining high technical standards.
- Data-Driven Growth Execution
- Use experimentation, A/B testing, and metrics to improve user activation and retention over time.
- Technical Oversight
- Ensure strong engineering execution and scalable solutions. Remain technically involved and hands-on as needed.
- Strategic Collaboration
- Work closely with company leadership to influence strategic planning and contribute to organizational improvements in Engineering.
- 5+ years experience as a software engineer (full stack preferred)
- 2+ years in an engineering management role
- Strong collaboration with product managers, designers, and data scientists
- Committed to delivering exceptional user experience and stakeholder satisfaction
- Passion for mentoring and growing engineering talent
- Willingness to remain close to the code and lead by example
Must be based in or open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area , which includes:
- Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties
- Equity: Included
- Remote Flexibility: Not fully remote — onsite or Bay Area presence required
