Software Engineering Advisors - Hybrid (Finance)
Position Overview The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Advisor, a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna - Evernorth Services Inc.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and support applications, emphasizing analysis of business requirements and technical design documentation.
Provide expert leadership on complex software engineering projects and advise functional leaders.
Consult with business and IT management on application programming and processes across various platforms and environments.
Collaborate to identify application development solutions, including reuse of existing code and integration of purchased solutions.
Lead broader projects, providing thought leadership within application development.
Design principal systems and evaluate alternative solutions for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Code new or modified programs, reuse existing code, and integrate solutions.
Document, test, implement, and support applications ongoingly.
Support production activities, including troubleshooting and debugging.
Compensation and Application Details Salary: $161,886.00. Deadline to apply: August 4, 2025.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computers or engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in software development, testing, and implementation.
Proficiency in root cause analysis, testing activities, defect management, SQL, and tools like Quality Center, UFT, Selenium.
Experience with healthcare applications, particularly claim processing engines.
Additional Requirements Remote work requires internet with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds.
