We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer with strong Java/J2EE expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC) and Java and will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex web applications. This role requires hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and Java/J2EE, along with experience working across Enterprise projects. The developer will be key to the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable systems, and will collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Guidewire PolicyCenter Development: Design, develop, and maintain Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC) and Java-based systems. Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software and meet project deadlines. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest trends in enterprise-level frameworks and platforms, incorporating best practices into development processes. Research & Fact-Finding: Lead efforts in researching and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems and system integrations. Best Practices: Assist in defining development standards, best practices, and code libraries for efficient system management and scalability. Software Specifications: Prepare detailed software specifications and design documents from which programs will be written. Code Development & Maintenance: Code, configure, unit test, review code, debug, document, and maintain complex software applications, utilizing cutting-edge technologies. Leadership & Mentorship: Lead medium-sized development teams and mentor less experienced developers, ensuring the quality and efficiency of software development practices. Required Qualifications: Guidewire Expertise: Strong experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC) and working knowledge of Guidewire InsuranceSuite. Java/J2EE Development: Proficient in Java, J2EE, and working with RESTful APIs and Web Services. Software Development: Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications and enterprise-level systems. Integration Knowledge: Ability to integrate systems and create custom solutions using Guidewire and Java/J2EE frameworks. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and maintain complex systems. Teamwork: Excellent collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and manage medium-sized projects. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Other Guidewire Modules: Exposure to other Guidewire modules (ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) is a plus. Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based development platforms and tools. Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies for software development. Advanced Certifications: Certifications in Guidewire PolicyCenter or related Java/J2EE technologies are a plus. Certifications (if any): Guidewire Certification: Guidewire Certification in PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter is preferred.
