Base pay range
$55.00/hr - $60.00/hr Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Reinsurance Implementation Consultant. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries related to ceded reinsurance transactions Compile supporting documentation and work papers for journal entries and audits Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain fluctuations in ceded premiums and expenses Interpret reinsurance treaties and apply appropriate accounting treatment Assist in preparing ceded cash disbursements and perform light analytics Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system integration and data migration Support the implementation of new reinsurance systems and workflows Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Accounting degree strongly preferred) 3-5 years of experience in reinsurance accounting or financial reporting Strong understanding of ceded reinsurance, including excess of loss (XoL) treaties Familiarity with how premiums are booked and how to interpret treaty terms Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and experience with ERP or reinsurance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft) Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
