The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is on the lookout for a passionate and innovative Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead our efforts in building advanced customization capabilities such as fine-tuning and distillation. In this role, you will lead the development of cutting-edge training techniques and optimizations to enhance the performance of Large Language Models (LLMs). As a key member of the AGI team, you will collaborate closely with Applied Scientists and utilize Amazon's extensive data sources and state-of-the-art computing resources to expedite the development of multimodal LLMs and Generative AI solutions. Key Responsibilities: Investigate design approaches and prototype new technology alongside fellow engineers. Collaborate with Applied Scientists to process data and scale machine learning models, ensuring optimization and efficiency. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of professional software development experience. 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) for new and existing systems. Proficient in at least one programming language. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years involved in the full software development life cycle, including adherence to coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
