Sr. Bridge Inspection Team Leader - Sr. Structural Engineer
to provide experienced leadership of bridge projects and mentor upcoming leaders in our New England offices, including
Boston, MA; Worcester, MA; Providence, RI; Merrimack, NH; and Glastonbury, CT . Be a part of a collaborative team of experts and contribute to projects that help shape our communities and our future. Your Impact
Work with our Bridge/Highway Design Team on a variety of project development and design tasks. Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections. Assist in the preparation of Bridge and Tunnel Load Ratings. Lead Bridge and Tunnel Inspections and assist with developing plans/sketches using AutoCAD. Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, architects, planners, and scientific professionals to execute multiple projects. Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers. Support engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills. Assist with project research, fieldwork, preliminary design calculations, and analysis. Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates. Maintain comprehensive project documentation. Stay current with the latest structural engineering techniques and practices. Exercise responsible decision-making regarding company resources and conduct, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct. Perform additional duties as required by business needs. Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field. 10+ years of experience in bridge inspection, design, or related work. PE license required. Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices. Strong interest in structures and transportation fields. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and lead junior team members. Advanced proficiency with technical writing and office software. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies. Flexibility to work beyond regular hours and travel as needed. Preferred Qualifications
AutoCAD proficiency preferred. Active participation in professional organizations. WSP offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, paid leave, and more.
