The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a
Licensed Addictions Counselor
.
This position is responsible for providing mandatory, outpatient individual and group substance abuse treatment to high-risk felony offenders in a community setting. Most of the services will be provided at the Leavenworth County Community Corrections facility. Hours will be 8 AM to 7 PM Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities Provide intake assessments and initial treatment planning for SB123 clients
2. Provide substance use treatment (individual and group) and on-going treatment planning for SB123 clients
3. Completely monthly progress reports and send to client's assigned probation officer
4. Provide treatment to alcohol/drug clients referred through SB123 program which meets those programs' requirements for content and duration
5. Provide minimum of four appointment hours per week after 5 pm; some program needs may require considerably more hours after 5, with accompanying adjustments in start time.
6. Work additional hours when needed to complete required work.
7. Ensure that all treatment services provided follow clinical guidelines of the Guidance Center and regulatory bodies
8. Understand direct service requirements and efficiency goals established by TGC for the position, and achieve same
9. Provide documentation (clinical notes, reports, and other professional products) which complies with TGC's Quality Improvement standards and the requirements of all funding sources.
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in addiction-related field, psychology, social work, human services, other related area with 33 credit hours of specific coursework in addiction counseling.
Licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LAC by the first day of employment.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Two years experience in providing alcohol/drug assessment and treatment.
Preferred: Certification to provide Kansas SB123 program services.
