About being our Senior Civil Project Engineer Psomas has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Project Engineer to join our Transportation team! In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering impactful transportation and civil infrastructure projects ranging from roadway and intersection improvements to multimodal corridor designs and complete street initiatives. You'll be responsible for managing project design, collaborating on business development and coordinating with clients and agencies, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring successful project delivery from concept through construction.
Our engineering group is engaged in a wide variety of complex municipal and regional transportation projects. We're looking for someone who brings strong technical expertise, project leadership experience, and a collaborative approach to solving infrastructure challenges. Responsibility Highlights for our Senior Civil Project Engineer Manage design team including designers, support staff, and subconsultants Perform project budgeting, planning, engineering, and design for municipal water and sewer utility projects and maintain contract management throughout the project Provide technical oversight and review of project activities for transportation design as well as on in-house multidisciplinary projects Lead large scale transportation, municipal and utility engineering projects including the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates Lead business development efforts including the collaborative development of client relationships, pre-positioning of project pursuits, preparation of proposals, and participation in project interviews. Work as part of a collaborative team with other engineers, and discipline professionals, as well as technical, marketing, and administrative support staff
Minimum Qualifications to be our Senior Civil Project Engineer BS in Civil Engineering or related degree/experience Professional Engineer (PE) License in Washington 10+ years of progressively responsible professional experience in civil engineering
Preferred Qualifications for our Senior Civil Project Engineer Experience in providing direct supervision of engineers and junior staff Experience in writing reports, performing technical design, preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates, project scheduling, and proposal writing Successful track record in managing and completing water and sewer utility projects for public agencies Experience working with local Puget Sound municipalities and special purpose districts
