Senior Brand Manager
The Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Brand Management will lead select Brand(s) and be responsible for developing, implementing, and advancing the strategy, experience, voice, campaigns, and capabilities of these brands. This will include overseeing the development and implementation of brand positioning and plans (product, marketing, advertising, creative, social media, and business plans) to enhance our brands’ presence and awareness while contributing to our overall business goals. This role will report to the Brand Director.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and present brand program updates and reports
- Lead the development of long-term and short-term brand strategies to support business objectives and goals, ensuring key stakeholder buy-in, including:
- Publishing
- Entertainment
- Agencies
- Strategic Partners
- Work with Finance, Sales and Brand team to develop and manage brand level P&L’s
- Develop and manage the budget for brand-related initiatives and allocate resources effectively to maximize the impact of brand strategies
- Collaborate with departments, including Licensing, Publishing, Digital, Legal, Entertainment and Finance to ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints
- Manage project timelines, track deliverables, and support cross-functional collaboration.
- As needed, manage specific market research to understand and identify opportunities for your brand(s).
- Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of brand strategies and make data-driven decisions. Be able to track and report on success of brand initiatives.
- Manage the development and execution of marketing, advertising, social, and PR plans for designated brands, while working with Brand team to ensure cohesive consumer and B2B messaging.
- Lead efforts to align with outside strategic promotional partners to enhance and increase brand awareness as it relates to designated brands.
- Monitor industry trends and provide insights to inform brand strategies.
- Review and approve licensee marketing assets within MyMedia Box, ensuring materials align with brand guidelines and legal requirements.
- Act as a primary contact for select licensed partners, ensuring brand alignment, timely approvals, and successful activation of marketing initiatives.
- 5-7+ years of brand management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Proven ability to independently problem-solve to ensure that key strategic objectives are implemented and provide solutions that fulfill the brand function’s objectives
- Demonstrated ability and success in developing brand campaigns for a major entertainment IP or popular consumer brand
- Experience working in a fast-paced organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate and thrive in a team environment
- Experience working for both a large enterprise and either a start-up or high-growth organization is a plus.
- Strong ability to develop collaborative relationships with multiple partners from executive to junior levels.
- Experience utilizing data and measurement to drive decisions.
