5:00 PM Compensation: ~ +/- $26--$34/hour (based on experience) About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Field Engineer/Inspector to join a leading provider of geotechnical engineering and construction project management services in the Southeastern United States. This confidential client works on diverse, high-impact projects with a reputation for quality, professionalism, and technical expertise. In this role, you will perform inspections and testing services for various construction materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. You'll work alongside a skilled team on projects that make a difference in both public and private sectors. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections and testing of construction materials, including soils, asphalt, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, and post-tensioned concrete. Review civil and structural plans to ensure project requirements are met. Prepare detailed reports using field data collection software. Ensure compliance with industry standards, including ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, and DOT. Collaborate effectively with contractors, project managers, and engineers. Travel to job sites using a company-provided vehicle. What You'll Bring:
At least 5 years of experience in construction materials testing and inspections. ACI Field Level 1 Certification
(required). At least one ICC certification, such as: ICC Soils ICC Reinforced Concrete ICC Structural Masonry ICC Spray-Applied Fireproofing ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Strong knowledge of ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, and DOT standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and field data collection software. High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License (required).
