Title: Department C - Class II (Cafeteria General Worker)
Reports To: Head Cook
Job Summary
Provide students and staff with a nutritional, eye-appealing meal while ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment according to regulations.
Essential Functions
- Serves student, faculty, and staff and replenish food on serving line.
- Assists with food preparation as instructed by supervisor.
- Apply principles of safe and sanitary food handling; preparation and storage.
- Verify adequate supply and proper display of food; maintain correct food temperatures.
- Sets up serving lines with utensils and foods (hot and cold). Serves on the line.
- Cleans all items used including trays, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Cleans and sanitizes work area, counters, tables and other equipment; cleans up spills as they occur in the kitchen work area.
- Establishing an action plan for self and others to complete work efficiently and on time by setting priorities, establishing timelines, and leveraging resources.
- Cleans refrigerators and storeroom shelves.
- Assists cashiers at serving time; preforms point of sale processes according to established procedures; ensure security of daily receipts.
- Verify adequate supply and proper display of food; maintain correct food temperatures.
- Cleans equipment and work surfaces daily.
- Provides set up for meetings and work banquets, as needed.
- Participates in all required training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Performs in accordance with school policy, administrative regulations, state and federal laws.

Education
High school diploma required
License
Valid Driver's License prefered
