Project Overview The Substation Project Manager will lead strategic substation infrastructure initiatives aimed at improving the reliability, capacity, and modernization of electric substation systems. This role demands a strong command of utility project execution, technical coordination, and cross-functional leadership within the energy sector. Key Responsibilities Oversee all phases of electric substation projects, from initiation through closeout. Collaborate with engineering, permitting, construction, system planning, and field operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Monitor project milestones, budgets, and KPIs using tools such as Power BI and utility project management systems. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Provide timely updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to leadership and partners. Ensure projects meet all safety, regulatory, and technical standards while being delivered on time and within budget. Apply industry-recognized project management frameworks and utility best practices to drive execution excellence. Required Qualifications PMP Certification or equivalent experience 5+ years of project management experience in electric utility substations In-depth understanding of substation systems, engineering design, and construction practices Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex substation projects Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills Seniority level
