Description:
The Afterschool & Summer Meals Coordinator, MD Region, will support the mission of the Capital Area Food Bank through the administration of child nutrition programs in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The Coordinator is an integral member of the Afterschool & Summer Meals team and supports team efforts cross-regionally and in MD. This position requires oversight of the Child and Adult Care Program and the Summer Food Service Program, including federal nutrition program compliance, communication with community sites and vendors, and management of a large budget.
Essential Functions:
Program Administration - 100%
Collect, review and maintain site meal reports entered into Link2Feed, our data management system Serve as contact with state agency; complete state program applications and requests as needed; attend state led trainings; prepare for audits Oversee regional program budget, providing projections and reforecasts as needed Conduct federally required site visits for program compliance Prepare monthly claims for expenses and reimbursements, in accordance with state and federal regulations Strengthen relationships with external partners by participating in workgroups & advocacy groups, following up on issues, and acting as a liaison between the Capital Area Food Bank and site staff Communicate with food service vendor to ensure regular meal service for sites Plan and prepare for semi-annual and as needed site staff trainings Conduct regional outreach & engagement to identify areas of need and potential opportunities for program expansion Provide practical and technical support to sites in-person, by phone, and email
Qualifications
Requirements :
AA degree or equivalent; At least +1-3 years of work experience in a related field Must have reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Prince George’s County community and federal nutrition programs strongly preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Reporting:
This role reports to the Manager of Afterschool & Summer Meals This is not a supervisory role

Compensation:
$50,100 - $53,800/annually
Schedule:
Hybrid schedule with 3 in office days per week Regular work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM, with extended hours as needed for site reviews and special events
