SCIS is seeking a skilled
System Administrator
to join our team in
Clearwater, Florida . This on-site role is a fantastic opportunity for a cleared IT professional who thrives in a mission-critical environment supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs. You’ll work alongside dedicated professionals ensuring our infrastructure is secure, efficient, and aligned with the highest federal standards. What You’ll Do: Operate, monitor, and maintain Windows and Cloud-based (primarily Azure) systems. Design and deploy secure IT environments in compliance with
DAAPM ,
NIST SP 800-53 , and
RMF
frameworks. Establish and maintain system configurations, patches, and backup procedures. Collaborate with ISSMs, ISSOs, and FSOs on authorization and compliance efforts. Provide Tier 1 and 2 technical support and troubleshooting for end users. Manage user permissions and access controls while ensuring security compliance. Document procedures and contribute to user training and process improvements. What You’ll Need: Active Secret Security Clearance Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field 3+ years of systems administration experience 2+ years of experience with Cloud (preferably Azure) Strong understanding of Windows environments, system hardening, STIGs, and security tools (e.g., Splunk, SCC, ACAS) What You Bring: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and commitment to security Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment A collaborative mindset and clear communication skills Desire to protect, support, and optimize classified environments What We Offer: At SCIS, we’re committed to providing an environment where your skills can flourish, and you can make a significant impact.
