Hiring Range: $65115.00 to $105812.00 Full Time or Part Time: Full_Time VA Dept of Transportation Coordinate activities and projects for assigned program area(s). Serve as program coordinator for maintenance and administration of district's automated equipment inventory system and prime contact for maintaining accurate assignment of rental, non-rental, major and minor equipment inventory district wide. Provide guidance, support and direction district wide based on system reporting and data. How you will contribute: Coordination and Communication: Disseminate information to various parties. Gather information, conduct research and provide findings to requesting parties. Inventory and Management: Develop, evaluate and analyze various equipment and fuel reports to determine trends and make recommendation to management. Track inventory data and assignments. Administer and maintain M5 system to include equipment records, value changes, disposal, technician record maintenance, operator changes, meter updates, etc. Track equipment accident reports. Compile work order and repair cost data for invoicing responsible parties. Serve as primary source for M5 operations and conduct training. M5 Reporting and Fuel Site Issues: Maintain M5 data to include state inspection dates, preventative maintenance needed, equipment mileage, etc. Prepare and provide management with various equipment inventory reports. Verify pool vehicle assignments in M5. Assist with tracking, recording and maintaining data related to fuel site maintenance costs. Reconcile invoices for repairs to contract. Serve as back-up on service calls for fuel sites. Program Coordination Activities: Coordinate activities for assigned program area. Ensure activities are performed in accordance with policies, procedures and guidelines. Project Management: Oversee or lead work on a variety of projects related to assigned program area. Ensure work is performed in accordance with parameters and schedules. Receipt of New Equipment: Procure and process new non-rental equipment requests. Assist in coordinating and processing removal and sale of surplus equipment. Review requests for commercial rental equipment and match needs to equipment available on contract. Coordinate replacement of pool vehicles. Reporting and Systems: Update and maintain records, reports and systems related to assigned projects and programs. Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance, guidance and interpretation of laws, regulations, policies and procedures for internal and external customers. Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance. What will make you successful: Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers. Skill in the use of computers and software applications to include MS Office, MS Excel and web-based systems. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to effectively manage and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to interpret, apply agency policies and regulations. Additional Considerations: A combination of training, experience, or education in Business or related field desired. Experience processing and managing payments. Experience procuring payments for an equipment inventory program. Experience working with fleet maintenance programs. Experience working with public procurement.
