Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Burlington, Vermont 05401 (Vermont nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting: Neurosurgical & Surgical Unit (M5/McClure 5) at a renowned teaching hospital Assignment Length: 16 weeks (option to extend up to 32 weeks) Start Date: September 1, 2025 End Date: December 21, 2025 Shift: 12-hour day shifts Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130 per week Schedule: Every other weekend required; must work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day) Employment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state) Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience Prior travel nursing experience required Experience working in a large, teaching hospital environment Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications (NIHSS required before start date) Proficiency with Epic EMR within the past 2 years (required) Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays Reliable personal or rental transportation (public transit not available in this area) Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires from November through April Travel RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to neurosurgical and surgical patients on the M5/McClure 5 unit Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient status Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Accurately document patient care and assessments using Epic EMR Participate in bi-weekly orientation sessions and ongoing professional development Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical protocols Work every other weekend and cover at least 2 major holidays during the assignment Ensure all employment history and credentialing documentation is current and complete Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Burlington, Vermont, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
