Overview
We are seeking a skilled Systems Integration and Test Engineer with a strong background in hardware and software system-level testing, particularly within Mission Critical and Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems. This role involves working closely with network infrastructure and radio-telephone communications software and hardware elements. Responsibilities
Conduct and provide support for informal testing, customer acceptance testing, and other test-related activities. Interface with customers and partners to discuss system-level and site-specific requirements, and develop test plans. Design, develop, and execute test procedures for both hardware and software components. Demonstrate a strong understanding of testing principles, including test documentation, test coverage, traceability, and Test Verification Methods. Perform functional, maintenance/reliability, stability/load, performance, analysis, security, voice quality, and environmental tests. Plan verification strategies and test specifications based on customer and product requirements, software and hardware requirements, and use case scenarios. Manage test environments for assigned test programs, including managing test scripts and test equipment. Identify and document any defects or unexpected anomalies during testing, providing instructions for issue recreation. Review and interpret system and software requirements from a testability perspective. Maintain organized records of test results and generate historical analysis of these results. Communicate technical issues or project details with Test Management and Engineering teams. Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience in a related field. Experience with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system software. Proficiency in writing and executing test cases and plans. Ability to plan verification strategies and manage test environments. Familiarity with Air Traffic Control and Air Traffic Management systems. Experience with test tools and equipment such as oscilloscopes, Transmission Impairment Measurement Sets (TIMS), Multimeters, and VOTER. Proficient in using network analysis tools like Wireshark and familiar with JIRA and JAMA for bug-tracking and test management. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with industry-standard test tools and equipment like Viavi T-BERD and Sage Multi-Channel Test Instrument. Knowledge of commercial performance, simulation, and analysis testing tools such as GL Comm TDM Solutions. Familiarity with industry standards such as ED-137, MIL-STD-461G, FCC 47 Part B, FAA-G-2100H, and FAA NextGen. Basic IP network skills and familiarity with Linux operating systems. Strong understanding of Test Methodologies and Agile/Scrum software development processes and project life cycles. Work Environment
This position involves working onsite in a lab environment with a collaborative team, focusing on mission-critical, next-generation aviation communication systems. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr. TBD but will include Health/Dental/Vision/401K Workplace Type
