What's your day like? As a Mid-Level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you will play a crucial role in employing a multi-discipline approach to comprehensive requirements engineering and solutions development. Your focus will span across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), the Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG), and various Federal Agencies, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of GEOINT solutions. Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth planning and analysis to improve existing systems, while also reviewing cloud service capabilities and recognizing scheduling limitations. You will assist in capturing and translating mission and customer needs into clear systems and capability requirements.
Additionally, you'll support the analyses and allocation of requirements to system architecture components, engage in systems integration, and participate in strategic technical planning. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the Aerospace Data Facility–East, ensuring innovation and excellence in every project undertaken.

Effective communication skills are critical for collaborating with diverse teams and translating complex mission needs into actionable systems requirements. Additionally, your ability to think strategically will support project management, risk management, and performance engineering activities.
A foundational understanding of systems integration and testing processes will also contribute to ensuring the reliability and maintainability of our services. Required Skills and Experience:
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience.
Mid-level working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
Mid-level or higher experience working systems engineering in government or
Desired Skills and Experience:
Working knowledge of Software Development, Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
INCOSE Associate Systems engineering Professional (ASEP).
Documented work experience in the field of geospatial.
Membership or active participation in any of the following professional organizations:
ACSM
ASCE
ASPRS
OGC
SAREM
USGIF
Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO.
Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
