Test Engineer – Modeling and Simulation - 8+ yrs of Experience - TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance
Halogen Engineering Group is seeking a Test Engineer to analyze system requirements, concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions. The role involves developing evaluation and test plans, conducting data collection and analysis, and reporting on the status and results. The candidate will support the development of Government test and evaluation documentation, such as the Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Master Plan, Event Test Plans, and T&E Reports. Collaboration with other test organizations for program integration is essential. The engineer provides specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, maturity, and performance areas.

Compensation
The projected annual salary range is $200K to $240K . Salary determination depends on factors such as location, education, experience, and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Level 1 testing tasks based on training and experience
- Research and apply government T&E concepts
- Plan and execute performance analysis and data collection
- Review acquisition approaches for T&E alignment
- Analyze performance risks and specify modeling and simulation needs
- Apply statistical analysis to performance data
- Select and develop analysis tools
- Coordinate test readiness, including training and security compliance
- Participate in T&E planning and coordination meetings
- Prepare evaluation plans, reports, and briefings
- Design data sampling schemes and calibrate instrumentation
- Manage data and configuration control
- Provide technical guidance and coordinate with government sponsors
- Lead T&E resources and quality assurance efforts
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Test Engineer in similar programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or related field; 4 additional years of experience may substitute
