Windows Systems Administrator (Patch Management) We are seeking a skilled Windows Systems Administrator with expertise in patch management to maintain, secure, and optimize our IT infrastructure. This role involves managing Windows servers, applying system updates, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows Server administration, WSUS, SCCM, PowerShell scripting, and vulnerability management. Key Responsibilities: Patch Management: Implement and maintain patching processes for Windows servers and workstations. Assess, schedule, test, and deploy OS and software patches using WSUS, SCCM, Tanium or other patch management tools. Monitor patch compliance and remediate failed patches. Ensure systems remain secure and up-to-date by applying security updates and mitigating vulnerabilities. Security & Compliance: Work closely with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities identified in security scans. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security policies (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks). Implement best practices for endpoint security and system hardening. Automation & Scripting: Develop PowerShell scripts to automate patch deployment, system monitoring, and administrative tasks. Improve system efficiency through automation and process optimization. Incident & Problem Management: Respond to and resolve system incidents and service requests in a timely manner. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for system failures and implement preventive measures. Provide technical support and guidance to other IT teams. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Windows workstations and server administration and patch management. Proficiency in WSUS, SCCM, Tanium, or other patch management tools. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and PowerShell scripting. Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable Nessus and Tanium. Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001) and compliance standards. Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot system issues. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE).
