(FB Timberline) is seeking multiple
Journeyman Lineman (full time, temporary)
to support the operations team at our Sage Mill construction project, in Aiken, South Carolina. The duration of this project will be until October 2025. The
Journeyman Lineman (full-time) , under the guidance and direction of the Foreman or Construction Manager, will assist in the construction and maintenance of power systems, and replaces or repairs defective power lines, sub-stations and accessories. The successful candidate will have prior experience in powerline construction or construction and familiarity with framing, setting, stringing, bundling and steel monopole construction. What We Offer: Competitive hourly wage 401k plan Comprehensive benefits package Paid time off (PTO) Annual boot allowance and other incentives (e.g. PPE, FR clothing) Per diem available (subject to eligibility) Family oriented workplace Opportunity for career growth and development Key Responsibilities: Install, inspect, maintain, and repair high and low voltage transmission and distribution electrical grid Troubleshoot and repair overhead distribution and transmission lines Install, inspect, maintain, repair and modify high and low voltage transmission and distribution electrical grid Maintain interior, exterior, overhead and underground electrical distribution systems Install and maintain cables making part of power distribution systems Implement safety policies, transporting materials, installing electrical transmission systems, performing repair work, and laying underground cable in trenches Assist in the construction, maintenance and removal of underground and overhead power lines and equipment Adhere to Forbes Bros Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned What We Are Looking For: Journeyman Lineman certification,
is required Minimum three (3)+ years experience working in powerline construction,
is required Have and maintain a Class A commercial driver license (CDL) and an acceptable MVR. Ability to work at heights in varying climates Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting Ability to work as a member of a team and adapt to changing tasks and locations Disclaimer: In compliance with Client and Project/Work site requirements, candidates may be required to undergo pre-access screening.
