Hourly Pay Range:
$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights: Sign on bonus: none Position: Telemetry Technician Location: Chicago, IL Part Time, 24 weekly hours Hours: M-F 7p-7:30a, rotating weekends and holidays Required Travel: none
A Brief Summary: The Telemetry Tech is responsible for monitoring the cardiac rhythms of all telemetry patients using video monitoring system.
What you will do: Performs Telemetry Technician duties for the Nursing Unit. Monitors cardiac rhythms of all telemetry patients and maintains a safe environment. Answers patient call system and obtains appropriate assistance. Keeps work area and telemetry equipment clean. Assists in orientation of new Telemetry Technicians.
What you will need: High School graduate. Successful completion of an EKG Rhythm Interpretation Course, which includes a comprehensive exam. The course must be approved. One year hospital experience as a Telemetry Technician or similar is desirable. Ability to observe and report accurately technical ability for handling specialized instrumentation and equipment. Ability to handle confidentiality appropriately.
