TelyRx is seeking an experienced and strategic
Director of Pharmacy
to lead and oversee pharmacy operations across our
Dallas, TX
and
Clearwater, FL
locations, with potential future oversight of additional facilities. This individual will be responsible for ensuring operational consistency, compliance, and excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction for pharmacy operations across all assigned locations, ensuring compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and TelyRx policies. Oversee Pharmacists, Operations Managers, and Pharmacy Technician staff. Maintain active pharmacist licenses in Texas and Florida (required) and obtain additional state licensure as needed to support multi-state operations. Streamline workflows and standardize operational processes to drive efficiency, reduce variability, and ensure consistency across pharmacy sites. Lead efforts to optimize pharmacy operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant fulfillment and shipping of prescriptions and related materials. Collaborate with internal teams (including IT, compliance, purchasing, shipping, and customer experience) to implement improvements, system updates, and performance initiatives. Support site-level pharmacist-in-charge duties directly or through coordinated oversight with local pharmacy managers/leadership. Develop and maintain quality assurance programs, SOPs, and performance metrics that ensure safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Act as the primary point of contact for audits, regulatory reviews, and pharmacy-related external partners. Travel regularly between Dallas and Clearwater, with flexibility to support additional locations as needed. Requirements
Qualifications:
PharmD or equivalent degree required. Active and unrestricted pharmacist licenses in Texas and Florida required; willingness and eligibility to obtain and maintain licensure in other states as needed. Minimum 7 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing multi-site or regional operations. Demonstrated ability to streamline and scale pharmacy operations while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Strong working knowledge of pharmacy distribution processes, logistics and regulatory requirements. Exceptional leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Willingness and ability to travel regularly (25-40%). Preferred Experience:
Experience in telepharmacy, mail-order, specialty, or high-volume retail pharmacy environments. Familiarity with pharmacy automation systems and technology platforms. Benefits:
