. The University of Chicago Medical Center is designated as a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and operates a nationally recognized burn unit. Comer Children’s Hospital is an integrated children’s hospital offering a full complement of pediatric services with a total of 172 general pediatric, NICU, and PICU beds. Our pediatric faculty includes 170 full-time members, clinical associates, and postdoctoral researchers. In addition to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, our faculty conducts cutting-edge translational and clinical research. A tradition of excellence in patient care, basic, clinical, and translational sciences, combined with the strength of one of the world’s top academic institutions, provides the foundation for a career as an academic physician. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board certified or Board eligible in Adolescent Medicine. We especially welcome applicants with an academic interest and/or potential for building adolescent health programs and scholarship.
