WSP is seeking a
Ports and Marine Senior Lead Engineer/Project Manager
to work out of our maritime offices within the Carolinas or Florida. With over 40 years of experience, WSP is a leader in waterfront structural design, serving clients such as port authorities, the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and private entities. Our Maritime group is dynamic, collaborative, and engaged in diverse, challenging projects. Your Responsibilities
Perform and supervise structural analysis and design for marine and upland components. Conduct berthing and mooring analyses. Lead development of plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for port and Navy projects. Understand maritime codes including UFC, PIANC, ASCE-61. Prepare basis of design, calculations, technical reports, and studies. Coordinate interdisciplinary requirements and perform QA/QC reviews. Attend client meetings and conduct site visits. Mentor junior engineers in port and maritime engineering. Adhere to ethical standards and company policies. Qualifications
Required
Minimum 10 years of experience in port structure analysis and design. Professional Engineer license. Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Excellent communication skills. Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies. Preferred
Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Experience with medium to large port/maritime/Navy projects. Involvement in professional organizations. Proficiency with analysis software such as SAP2000, OPTIMOOR, L-PILE, SLIDE. About WSP
