Position Title: Project Manager - Custom Manufacturing
Location: St. Charles, MO
Position Summary: As Project Manager - Custom Manufacturing, you will oversee all activities related to projects after receiving a purchase order. This includes internal and external communication, scope changes, project finances, and schedule management for engineering and production.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Schedule work and deadlines for engineering and production
- Coordinate client approvals and submissions to maintain schedule
- Identify and submit scope changes to sales and estimating
- Track labor and materials, actively managing costs to stay within budget
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality standards
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and technical background
- Minimum of 5 years' project engineering or management experience in construction or manufacturing
- Ability to organize and execute multiple responsibilities concurrently
- Experience with scheduling software and critical path management
- Ability to interact effectively within engineering and operations environments, with clients and suppliers
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to motivate teams
- Willingness to learn multiple disciplines, including steel, aluminum, hydraulics, electrical, and mobile structures
- Consistent work history with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, and walking in office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments
- Climbing trailers, scaffolding, and ladders
- Bending, lifting, and moving as needed
- Using fingers and hands to operate a computer
- Vision abilities including close and focus vision
- Hearing ability to respond to signals, distinguish tones, and use hearing protection when required
