This is a Level II Trauma facility providing comprehensive surgical services. The shift includes days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with 1-2 rotations to weekends in a 4-week schedule. Evening shifts from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM will also be required 1-2 times every 4 weeks. You will be expected to take on 2-3 weekday calls during the 4-week schedule. The clinician to patient ratio is 1:1. You will work with a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The operating room has a bed count of 15 and an average daily census of approximately 30-40 patients. The electronic medical record charting system utilized is EPIC. No floating to other units is required. Weekend rotations will require working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with call responsibilities from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM every 1 in 4 weeks. Surgical Technologists are expected to take call for weekends and evening shifts. Cardiac monitoring is not performed by surgical technicians, so EKG or telemetry skills are not required.
