is seeking an experienced
Travel Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist
for a contract assignment at a leading medical center in
Rochester, NY . Join a dynamic and skilled radiology team delivering high-quality imaging in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Position Summary
As an IR Tech, you will assist in performing advanced imaging procedures under the guidance of interventional radiologists. You will be responsible for producing diagnostic-quality images, preparing patients, and assisting physicians during procedures, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Perform interventional radiology procedures and support radiologists during cases
Operate radiologic and specialized IR equipment safely and effectively
Instruct and prepare patients for procedures
Ensure quality imaging by selecting proper exposure factors and positioning
Use PACS, RIS, and HIS systems to manage and document patient information
Turn over rooms and assist team members between procedures
Maintain medication security and adhere to all hospital protocols
Respond to technical inquiries from physicians and hospital staff professionally
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and departmental tasks
Deliver respectful, compassionate care to patients of all ages
Requirements:
Valid NYS Radiologic Technologist License
(or eligibility to obtain before start)
Minimum
2 years of interventional radiology or radiologic tech experience
BLS certification (AHA only)
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Ability to participate in
on-call and holiday rotation
as needed
Must be able to work independently and manage a fast-paced workload
Preferred: VIR Certification
(preferred but not required)
