Recreation Therapist Opportunity
Arrowhead Behavioral Health is looking for an outstanding Recreation Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis! Recreation Therapists create an exciting atmosphere for our patients to learn and develop new skills. Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a 48-bed private, free-standing psychiatric hospital located in Maumee, OH. Arrowhead offers a private, confidential and non-institutional environment conducive to healing and recovery. Arrowhead provides a variety of specialized services for adults and older adults. Services include: Inpatient Acute Psychiatric Services Inpatient Substance Abuse and Detoxification Treatment Inpatient Dual Diagnosis (Co-occurrence of mental illness with substance abuse) Suboxone Induction and Maintenance (for Opiate Dependence) Outpatient Treatment Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Mental Health & Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Relapse Prevention (Aftercare) 28-Day Dual-Diagnosis Rehabilitation Programs Impaired Practitioners Program The recreation therapist plans, organizes, and directs medically approved recreation program for hospital patients to assist patients in developing interpersonal relationships, to socialize effectively, to develop coping skills and stress management skills. The Recreation Therapist adapts the leisure activity program content in relation to the patients' capabilities, needs and interests.
