Emergency Room RN Job Details Location: Boston, MA 02118 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs) Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Setting: Emergency Department (Level I/II/III/IV ED) Start Date: September 8, 2025 End Date: December 6, 2025 Duration: 13-week contract Shifts: 12-hour nights; every other weekend and holiday required Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Patient Ratio: 1:4-5 (based on acuity) Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,270 - $2,330 per week ER RN Qualifications Active, unexpired Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts RN license preferred) Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience Current certifications: TNCC, BLS, ACLS (required for emergency nursing jobs) Proficient in independently reading and interpreting telemetry rhythm strips; able to identify heart blocks (must pass Telemetry Test on Day 1 with 85%+ score) Flexibility to float to Psychiatric ED and Pediatric ED (caring for patients age 15+ in pedi unless previous pediatric experience) Preferred: Experience with EPIC EMR, prior travel nurse assignments, and critical care nursing ER RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to diverse patient populations Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and emergent conditions in a fast-paced clinical environment Independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips and respond to cardiac events Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float as needed to Psychiatric and Pediatric Emergency Departments (for patients age 15+) Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and compliance Participate in every other weekend and holiday rotations as required Note: Travel nurses will not be assigned to trauma rooms during this contract Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your emergency nursing career with this rewarding Boston travel RN job!
