Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. 24 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months. Experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements
Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Local & travel allowed. COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

An interview may not be available prior to offer.
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Shift: 0700-1700 or 0730-1730
Weekend Requirement: Weekends are call and we require 1 full weekend per month
Holidays: are required for call only
Call requirement: Call would be about 10-12 days a month. Call is self scheduled for a 2 month period. 30 min response time
First to Float between College Station and Bryan campus (16 minutes apart) as needed
Beds: 7 PACU bays and 8 Stepdown but we usually only use 5 of them for stepdown
Phase 1 and Phase 2? yes, both
Ratios: phase 1 is 1:2 and 1:1 for peds. Phase 2 is 1:#
Common types of cases to recover? Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Hernia repairs, Lumpectomy, Mastectomy, colectomy, Hysterectomy, T&A, BMT, MSDL, Thyroidectomy, Parathyroidectomy, Bunionectomy and the occasional ortho case, EGD, Colonoscopy
EMR : yes we use SIS and Meditech
**RN must pass the Basic Dysrhythmia (83%) before signing the contract. They will be given three attempts to pass. **
Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 12/25/2025, 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
