Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Postpartum Registered Nurse
for a
13-week travel assignment
on an
Auto Offer
unit. This high-volume, high-acuity department cares for
high-risk obstetric
patients in a diverse and fast-paced environment. Nurses will support the full postpartum continuum including vaginal deliveries, cesarean recoveries, and patients experiencing obstetric complications. Travel experience and Epic proficiency are both hard requirements.
AUTO OFFER:
Offers extended without interview for qualified candidates.
FLOAT REQUIRED
to Issaquah Campus, Edmonds Campus (Postpartum), and L&D for second-hour recovery.
Epic EMR Experience Required – No Exceptions.
Magnesium sulfate therapy experience required.
4 couplets is standard patient ratio.
Responsibilities
Provide safe, compassionate care to postpartum patients following vaginal or cesarean deliveries Manage complex cases including high-risk obstetrics and postpartum hemorrhage Monitor and administer medications including Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin Perform assessments and interventions related to fundus, lochia, perineum, and incision care Support newborn care and parental education in couplet model Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a high-acuity environment Document using Epic charting system Float to other campuses and departments as needed
Key Requirements
Epic EMR experience required (no exceptions) Magnesium sulfate therapy experience required Must have experience with high-risk obstetric patients Must be able to float between Issaquah, Edmonds, and L&D units Travel experience required – no first-time travelers accepted Must screen out applicants with less than 2 years’ experience (hard stop) Will manage 4 couplets as standard assignment Must be available to start ASAP
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program BSN preferred
Experience
Minimum 2 years of recent postpartum / mother-baby nursing experience Experience with high-risk OB, postpartum hemorrhage, and medication administration required Prior travel experience is mandatory
License
Active WA RN license or WA Compact license required at submission Perm staff from other Providence (non-Swedish) facilities must be separated at least 3 months to qualify

Required: Postpartum care for cesarean and vaginal deliveries High-risk obstetric care Fundus, lochia, perineum, and episiotomy/incision care Postpartum hemorrhage management Medication administration: Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, pain meds EMR documentation in Epic Foley catheter insertion/care Substance withdrawal protocols Preferred: JADA device experience Experience with floating between campuses and postpartum care environments
